Welcome Week (International Exchange Students)

September 1–5, 2025, Villejean campus

Are you an international student in a formal exchange program?  If so, this event is for you. The International Office and provides newcomers with important information about university life at Rennes 2.  You will have the chance to meet and speak with faculty and staff from all parts of the university. Information meetings will be organized in partnership with the department coordinators, the CIREFE, SCD, ESN... 

Attendance is mandatory.

To celebrate the new academic year, the CMI Rennes (Centre de Mobilité Internationale) is hosting its 12th edition of International Students' Day — a great event for all new international students - whether you're an exchange student or an individually enrolled student. 

What to Expect:

  • Welcome Pack
  • Info sessions: “What is the CMI and how can it support you in Rennes?”
  • Partners Forum: Meet organizations like CROUS, CAF, CPAM, university services, and cultural partners
  • Guided tours of Rennes' historic city center
  • Chill zone, outdoor games, photo booth, refreshments
  • Book shows and day trips — and win some goodies

No registration needed

Orientation Week (pré-rentrée) 

September 1–5, 2025 | Villejean Campus

For: All students enrolled in a full degree programs (exchange students should instead attend the Welcome Week activities)

Orientation Week is designed to help you understand how your studies are organized, explore the campus, and access important services.

For students enrolled in distance learning: a dedicated welcome day will take place on Saturday, September 13 — both in-person and online. Sessions will be recorded and shared via the Cursus learning platform. Information Stands on Campus

Explore key student services at information booths available on September 1 and 2 on the Villejean Campus.

Services You’ll Find:

  • Student Life (SVE) and Health Services (SSE)
  • CAF and CPAM for housing and health insurance
  • Relais Handicap (disability services)
  • Academic Affairs & Guidance Services
  • Library & Sports Services
  • Transport Providers: STAR, Breizhgo, CITIZ, Maison du Vélo

All stands are located in or near Building B.

Cultural Season Launch – Don’t Miss It

Thursday, September 18, 2025 | 6:00 PM | Le Tambour, Rennes 2 Campus

The university’s cultural season kicks off with a vibrant evening showcasing upcoming concerts, exhibitions, and performances. The night continues with a live show by Kat White and her band, followed by a friendly reception in the lobby.
